A Carroll woman remains in custody at the Carroll County jail this (Monday) morning for allegedly intentionally hitting a man with her car Sunday night. According to a Carroll Police Department affidavit, 33-year-old Stephanie Jean Winter is charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury, an aggravated misdemeanor. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Granada Road at approximately 8:28 p.m. to a report of a man, later identified as Robert Dean Wiechman of Carroll, that had been struck by a car. He told law enforcement Winter was behind the wheel when he was hit. He sustained multiple injuries, including numerous cuts and bruises as a result of the impact.
