The beer garden and street dance are hosted at the town square from 8 p.m. to midnight. A free pool party at the Lake City Swimming Pool will also be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday night. Saturday is Western Days’ busiest schedule, with breakfast from the Lohrville Lions Club starting at 7:30 a.m. on the square, the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital Fun Run at 8:30 a.m., and a vendor show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Western Day Parade begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by kids’ games and activities from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Rodeo programming begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Top Rail Saddle Club grounds. Janssen says they are excited to welcome a new rodeo company to town this year, and they are expected to bring the largest group of competitors Western Days has ever seen.

Janssen adds it wouldn’t be Western Days without the Saturday evening fireworks after the rodeo, and that spectacle is returning this year. Sunday’s schedule includes a community breakfast at the club grounds starting at 9 a.m., followed by community worship at 11 a.m. The bags tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. at Goins Park, and the Sunday night show starts at 6 p.m. Janssen says they try to keep Western Days as affordable as possible for attendees every year.
