The Carroll Chamber of Commerce’s next Live + Local concert is tomorrow (Thursday) evening in downtown, and organizers are adding a bike safety theme to the festivities as the community prepares for RAGBRAI in just under a month. Beginning at 6 p.m. on Adams Street, Aged Spirits will take the stage for the free concert. Attendees are encouraged to grab their lawn chairs and fill their coolers as they head out to enjoy the show. As a reminder, no glass containers and no hard liquors are permitted. Prior to Live + Local getting started, the Carroll RAGBRAI and RIDE RIGHT Committees are hosting a bike safety seminar at 5:30 p.m. in the Principal parking lot south of the concert venue. Kids will learn proper biking etiquette, practice obstacle courses, and learn bike maintenance and helmet fitment. The first 50 kids will also receive a free helmet. Families are encouraged to bring their bicycles, and bikes will be available to borrow during the seminar.
