Dennis George Wuebker, age 71, of West Des Moines, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Taylor House, Unity Point Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Born in Carroll, Iowa on May 25, 1952, Dennis was the son of Paul and Edna (Neu) Wuebker. He attended St. John’s Grade School in Arcadia, and graduated from
Kuemper High School in 1971.
On November 17, 1979, Dennis was united in marriage to Deb Wade. They were blessed with a daughter, Angie (Mark) Mikkelson. Dennis worked at Oscar Meyer in Perry, Iowa for 20 years. He also worked at Farmland for 10 years, and in warehouses before he began having health issues in 2015.
Dennis had an infectious sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He enjoyed fishing, fixing cars & mowers, talking about “old times”, he enjoyed his time making memories with his cousin Jerome Wuebker, and his friend Rick Moore. He enjoyed calling his mom every Monday, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Deb and daughter Angie (Mark) Mikkleson. Dennis was blessed with three grandchildren that he absolutely adored, Jarrod, Madeline, and Josiah Mikkelson. Step-son Chad Meier, and 2 step-grand daughters Izzie and Elleana Meier. Dennis is also survived by his mother Edna, of Arcadia, his sister Karen Brightwell
of Arcadia, his sister Judy (Don) Incontro of Peoria, AZ, his brother Richard (Deb) Wuebker of Arcadia, his sister Barb (Tony) Vogl of Arcadia, and his sister Lisa (Kevin)Anderson of Cumming, IA and numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Dennis is preceded in death by his father Paul, a brother Paulie, his parents-in-law Don and Wana Wade .
