Formal charges have been filed against a Carroll woman accused of intentionally hitting a man with her vehicle in June. Carroll County District Court records show 33-year-old Stephanie Jean Winter was indicted Monday on one count of assault using a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. That charge stems from a June 18 incident in the 700 block of Granada Road. Authorities say Winter used her 2013 Ford Focus to intentionally strike Robert Dean Wiechman, causing multiple lacerations and bruising. Winter’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for July 27 at the Carroll County Courthouse. She faces a maximum penalty of up to two years in prison and $6,250 in fines if convicted of the charge.
