Day three of RAGBRAI is underway this (Tuesday) morning as 30,000+ riders, support teams, and vendors pack up and head east toward Ames on the next leg of their journey across the state. The designated route for Tuesday morning takes them along U.S. Highway 30 out of Carroll, which led the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) to close the busy eight-mile stretch to Glidden for all vehicle traffic until at least 12 p.m. Motorists will need to find alternative routes into and out of Carroll for today. Day three’s stops include Glidden, Jefferson, Rippey, Luther, and Ames as the overnight stop.
