Two western Iowa men have won a combined $600,000 from the Iowa Lottery after claiming their prizes last week. Nicholas Carlson of Manson won the Powerball twice, winning $14 on his first play and $100,000 on his second. Carlson purchased his winning ticket from Kimmes Country Store in Manson and claimed his prizes Thursday at the Iowa Lottery office in Storm Lake. He matched four of the five white balls for $50,000, but he opted for the $1 Power Play option to double his winnings. John Dojiok of Denison claimed a $500,000 grand prize in the Iowa Lottery’s “$500,000 CA$H” scratch game. Dojiok bought his ticket from the S&S Convenience Store in Denison and claimed his winnings last Friday at the Lottery’s headquarters in Clive.
