Businessman and GOP presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, invites voters to join him Saturday afternoon in Crawford County as the White House hopeful looks to rally support from rural Americans with only five months until the first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucuses. Ramaswamy will appear at Hrabik Welding at 609 Highway 30 in Vail beginning at 4:15 p.m. Ramaswamy is expected to highlight his success in the biotechnology industry and merit-based approach to government. He dove into the political world in earnest in 2021 with the publication of his book, “Woke, Inc.,” which decries modern corporations’ obsession with skin-deep social causes. The Crawford County GOP is helping to host Saturday’s program. Recent data from RealClearPolitics shows Ramaswamy polling at five percent with likely Republican voters, behind GOP-frontrunner, former President Donald Trump, at 53.9 percent, and second-place Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at 18.1 percent.
