A St. Anthony Regional Hospital nurse, Sandi Cook, BSN, BA, has been honored with the prestigious DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award was presented to Cook in the presence of her family and colleagues during a reception earlier this month. The DAISY Award is a part of the DAISY Foundation’s initiative to recognize the exceptional and superhuman efforts nurses put forth daily. Cook, who began her career at St. Anthony in 2014 as an LLS Systems Analyst for Quality Management, was commended for her unwavering commitment to her profession. Cook later transitioned to other roles, including clinic analyst nurse and lead clinical analyst. Her proactive approach and willingness to go above and beyond were highlighted by her assistance to a family struggling with electronic health record access after-hours. Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer at St. Anthony, Anita Becker, says, “Sandi embodies the very essence of the DAISY award. She is continuously surpassing expectations and extends a helping hand anytime. St. Anthony takes immense pride in team members like Sandi, who exhibit unwavering dedication to patient care.”
