An Arcadia man faces felony charges for allegedly fleeing from law enforcement while intoxicated over the weekend. According to Carroll County District Court records, 50-year-old David Michael Noble was booked into the Carroll County jail early Sunday morning for eluding at speeds 25 mph over the limit, a class D felony, first-offense OWI, a serious misdemeanor, and various traffic violations. A Carroll County Sheriff’s Office affidavit alleges Noble was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 30 in a 2024 Ford F250 near Granite Avenue at approximately 1:33 a.m. A deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop for speeding. Instead of pulling over, Noble accelerated and attempted to elude law enforcement, reaching speeds up to 102 mph during the pursuit. The chase continued through Arcadia and ended at a farm property in the 15000 block of Concord Avenue. Authorities say Noble displayed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody. He appeared before a magistrate Sunday and was released on his own recognizance. A preliminary hearing at the Carroll County Courthouse has been scheduled for Sept. 14. The charges against Noble carry a combined maximum penalty of up to five years in prison and more than $8,650 in fines.
