Iowa Savings Bank, the trustee of the Warren H. Timmerman Charitable Trust and the Gilbert and Barba Renze Foundation, has announced the recipients of its 2023 grant awards. Beginning with the Timmerman Trust, 12 projects have been selected for funding, totaling a combined $132,267. Recipients include Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) with $20,000 for an electronic community message sign, $30,000 to the Manning Betterment Foundation for handicapped accessible restrooms at the child care center, $20,000 to the Carroll County Conservation Board for crossings on the Sauk Rail Trail, and much more. Per the trust’s conditions, half of the allocations have been designated for Manning. To date, The Timmerman Trust has distributed more than $2.4 million for charitable purposes in Carroll County. The Renze Foundation awarded over $56,000 this year for projects in Sac and Carroll Counties. Awards included $10,000 to the Arcadia Fire Department for a new quick-attack truck, nearly $13,000 to the Early Fire Department for new bunker gear, and $13,500 to East Sac County Schools for new handicapped accessible playground equipment. Following this year’s presentations, the Gilbert and Barbara Renze Foundation has awarded over $910,600 in the area. A full list of the awards is included below.
