An IKM-Manning teacher has resigned amid an ongoing criminal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct with a student. According to information released by school officials, the board approved a resignation in lieu of termination from middle school reading teacher, 24-year-old Cassidy (Branning) Kraus, during their meeting earlier this week. Kraus was placed on leave on Aug. 21 after the district received a complaint alleging she had sent inappropriate photos of a sexual nature to students. The district immediately launched an investigation and determined Kraus had sent the images via Snapchat in May 2023. A criminal investigation into the allegations continues. School officials and law enforcement declined to provide additional information while the investigation is ongoing.
