Trial information has been filed in Carroll County District Court against an Arcadia man accused of fleeing from law enforcement while intoxicated. According to court records, 50-year-old David Michael Noble was indicted Friday on one count of eluding or attempting to elude, a class D felony, and first-offense operating under the influence, a serious misdemeanor. The charges stem from an Aug. 20 incident that began on Highway 30. According to an affidavit from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop for speeding. Instead of pulling over, Noble accelerated and attempted to elude law enforcement, reaching speeds up to 102 mph at times during the pursuit. The chase continued through Arcadia and ended at a farm property in the 15000 block of Concord Avenue. Noble’s arraignment hearing is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Carroll County Courthouse. The charges carry a combined maximum penalty of up to five years in prison and $9,375 in fines.
