Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will make his second stop in the Carroll Broadcasting listening area tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. The Carroll County GOP will be hosting Ramaswamy at the Santa Maria Winery at 218 W. 6th Street in Carroll beginning at 3 p.m. Ramaswamy has been steadily gaining support among likely GOP voters, climbing from the bottom of the crowded field to 8.9 percent in the polls. He is currently behind the clear Republican frontrunner, former President Donald Trump, who is polling at 53 percent according to FiveThirtyEight’s polling averages, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who stands at 15.6 percent. Ramaswamy held a campaign stop in Vail near the beginning of August and drew a crowd of several hundred people, showcasing Iowans’ interest in hearing directly from candidates before the first-in-the-nation caucuses in January.
