Law Enforcement Reminds Residents To Lock Vehicles After Several Reports Of Stolen Cars Over The Weekend

Lock-Locked-Car

Carroll County law enforcement agencies are reminding residents to remember to lock their vehicles when unattended following a recent spate of car-related crimes. According to Carroll Police Chief Brad Burke, his department took two reports of stolen cars over the weekend. The first vehicle was reported missing from the 200 block of W. 14th Street at approximately 5:42 a.m. on Friday. It was recovered the following day in the 1600 block of Birch Street. A second vehicle was reported stolen at approximately 6:57 a.m. Saturday morning, and authorities recovered that one later Saturday in Breda. Additionally, a Carroll woman was taken into custody on Saturday on motor-vehicle burglary charges after allegedly stealing items from a vehicle parked outside the Days Inn hotel. Law enforcement encourages residents to lock their cars and not leave their keys in a vehicle when unattended.
