Beginning next week, members of the Carroll Fire Department will be hitting the pavement selling tickets to the annual Firemen’s Dance later this fall. Fire Chief Dan Hannasch says the department’s 35 members will be knocking on doors starting Monday, Oct. 2.

This year’s dance is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Carrollton Centre. Tickets are $2 each if purchased in advance or $2.50 at the door. Firefighter Brad Ruhnke says they have a great evening of fun planned for those who attend.

Last year, the department used the money raised from the Firemen’s Dance to buy new bunker gear for its members, including boots and gloves. Again, the 2023 Carroll Fire Department Firemen’s Dance is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, and volunteers will be out in the community over the next several weeks selling tickets to the event.
