Carroll Woman To Serve Five-Year Prison Sentence Following Probation Revocation Hearing

Kristal-Lynn-Miller-Jan.-2021

A Carroll woman has been ordered to serve five years in prison after her probation from a 2021 felony burglary conviction was revoked. According to Carroll County District Court records, a judge handed down the order against 45-year-old Kristal Lynn Miller. Miller pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, a class D felony, for entering a home on Jan. 23, 2021, and threatening the occupants, including children, causing them to fear for their safety. Miller was initially sentenced to five years in prison, but that sentence was suspended. She was instead placed on probation to the Iowa Department of Correction for five years. Authorities revoked Miller’s probation for violating the agreed-upon terms, including failing to attend meetings with her probation officer and an arrest earlier this year for operating while intoxicated.
