Manning Regional Healthcare Center (MRHC) CEO Linn Block has accepted an offer to take over as head of Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City. Block is a Lake City native and brings an extensive background in healthcare leadership to her new role. She has led (MRHC) since 2019, but her career spans nearly two decades of leadership experience in the healthcare sector. Her dedication and hard work at MRHC led to several accolades, including recognition as one of the “80 Rural Hospital CEOs to Know in 2023” by Becker’s Hospital Review and MRHC’s receipt of a 2022 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for Employee Engagement. SMCH Board Chair Scott Nesbit says, “We are excited to have Linn Block as the next CEO of Stewart Memorial Community Hospital. She is passionate about building trusting relationships with the SMCH team, our patients, and the community. Linn’s experience and knowledge of rural Iowa healthcare gives me confidence that she will be successful leading SMCH into the future.” With Block’s departure, MRHC will soon begin its search for her replacement.
