“Use it or lose it” was the mantra at the East Sac County Community School District Board of Education (ESCCD) meeting back in late September when five bids for the dormant baseball field in Wall Lake they owned were reviewed. District Superintendent Nathan Hemiller lays out what took place this year to get to that point.
Residents in the area may wonder what will replace the longstanding baseball diamond. Hemiller explains they can expect more of the same.
Hemiller took his post in July of 2023. He says this is the last, single piece of property owned by the School District in Wall Lake. Owning the property meant maintaining it, so it was put up for sale.
ESCCD will hold its next public hearing on October 16, 2023, at 6:10 p.m. in the High School, located at 801 Jackson in Lake View.
