A Carroll man remains in custody at the Carroll County jail on child pornography production and possession charges following a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raid at his home in Carroll yesterday (Wednesday) morning. According to a Carroll Police Department affidavit, 47-year-old Lucas Oliver Knowles is accused of first-offense purchase and possession of the depiction of a minor in a sex act, a class D felony. The charge stems from an FBI search warrant executed at Knowles’s home at 615 McCoy Dr. Authorities say they recovered at least one image of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of a nude juvenile female on Knowles’s computer. According to law enforcement, Knowles also admitted to creating a CSAM video with an unidentified female minor around three weeks ago and uploading it to his Google Drive account. The FBI investigation into Knowles continues, and additional charges are pending the completion of their investigation.
