A Sac City woman has been charged with multiple felonies, including attempted murder, following an investigation into a reported stabbing over the weekend. According to the Sac City Police Department, 61-year-old Corrina Lee Evans is being held in the Sac County jail for attempted murder, a class B felony, willful injury causing bodily injury, a class D felony, and domestic abuse assault while displaying a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor. Authorities say Evans’s arrest stems from a Sunday incident at the Sac City Fire Station. Police responded to a call that a male subject had been stabbed and was yelling outside the department. An investigation found the victim and his long-term girlfriend, Evans, had gotten into an altercation in the 600 block of Leonard Street. During the fight, Evans allegedly threatened to kill the victim and then stabbed him. As of Wednesday morning, Evans remains in custody on a $55,000 bond. Her preliminary hearing is set for Friday, Nov. 3. Combined, the charges carry a maximum penalty of up to 32 years in prison.
