As the calendar year nears its end, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors is beginning to set its sights on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 budget. Their agenda for Monday opens with a funding request from the RSVP and Foster Grandparents programs in Carroll County. The board will not act on the request during the meeting. County officials will then hear from representatives of the Highway 25 Housing Corridor committee. Highway 25 does not run through Carroll County, but several communities near its path, including Coon Rapids and Ralston, could possibly participate in the program. County Engineer Zac Andersen will provide updates on utility permit applications within the county, and GIS/P&Z Commissioner Sarah Haberl will provide her quarterly report. The only other items on Monday’s agenda are the second-tier canvasses of multi-county elections held earlier this month, consideration of a county employee seatbelt policy, manure management annual updates, and reports from committees. The Nov. 20 meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Conservation Education Center at Swan Lake State Park and is open to the public. The full agenda is included with this story on our website.
