Region XII Director Rick Hunsaker Elected To NADO National Leadership Team

Region XII Executive Director Rick Hunsaker has been elected as an officer on the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO). According to the organization, Hunsaker was elected First Vice President on Nov.7 during the NADO’s 2023 annual business meeting in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, Hunsaker will work with the 63-member NADO Board of Directors to oversee the association’s budget and operations and develop policies affecting regional development associations. NADO Executive Director Joe McKinney says, “We are honored to have Rick Hunsaker serve as First Vice President of our national association. Rick brings an abundance of regional community and economic development knowledge to this role and our Board. He is dedicated to helping our nation’s local communities pursue comprehensive regional strategies for remaining economically competitive in today’s rapidly changing global environment.” NADO was founded in 1967 and has grown over the past 50+ years to include over 300 member organizations assisting local government entities nationwide. Hunsaker says, “I am excited to serve the National Association of Development Organizations as First Vice President for the next year. NADO serves as a positive and vital resource for regional development organizations around the country, and I am fortunate to be part of the important work they are doing.”
