The Carroll County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Association is getting into the holiday spirit later this week with the return of the Festival of Lights in Swan Lake State Park. The light displays and decorations have appeared in the park for over two decades, and a trip through the winter wonderland is now a tradition for many area families. Association Treasurer Kristin Nehring says many of the favorites are back again this year with some new additions.
The Festival of Lights opens on Friday, Nov. 24, and runs through Christmas on Dec. 25. Each night, EMS teams will be stationed at the end of the route collecting freewill donations. Nehring says the proceeds from the EMS Association’s only fundraiser of the year are used to keep local first responder stations active and viable.
Nehring says visiting the Festival of Lights is a simple process, and they look forward to seeing you.
Nehring says they are also adding a dedicated Christmas Special evening to the Festival of Lights program for one night only this year.
The Carroll County EMS Association Festival of Lights is available every night from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24 through Christmas. Donations marked for the EMS Association can also be sent to the Carroll County Ambulance Service at 203 E. 3rd Street in Carroll or through their Venmo account: @CarrollCountyEMS.
