Search For Missing Sac County Trucker Continues Following Multi-County Effort Over Holiday Weekend

Authorities in Sac County have little to report as the investigation into a missing Sac County trucker stretches into its second week. Fifty-three-year-old David Schultz of Wall Lake was last seen on Tuesday, Nov. 21, picking up a load of hogs in Eagle Grove for transport to Sac City. His semi-tractor trailer was found parked in the roadway on U.S. Highway 71 northeast of Sac City Tuesday morning. The vehicle was still loaded, but there was no sign of Schultz. Over the weekend, dozens of volunteers searched in Wright, Webster, Calhoun, and Sac County for any sign of Schultz, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is assisting the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, and Lake View Police Department in their investigations. Authorities encourage anyone with information about this case to contact the Sac County Communications Center at 712-662-7127.
