Missing Calhoun County Man’s Body Recovered Near Jolley; No Foul Play Suspected

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office announced this (Friday) afternoon they had located the body of a missing Rockwell City man. Authorities responded to an abandoned wooded property at 1710 230th St. near Jolley at approximately 1:35 p.m. and found 54-year-old Mark Edward Riesberg in a Chrysler PT Cruiser dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Riesberg’ss body has been sent to the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny for autopsy, but officials note no foul play is suspected. Reiesberg had been missing for more than four weeks. The search for a second missing man from the area, 53-year-old David Schultz of Wall Lake, is ongoing.
