Iowa residents can gear up for the 2024 hunting and fishing seasons as licenses go on sale starting Dec. 15. These licenses include resident hunting, fishing, and other options, replacing 2023 licenses that will expire Jan. 10 Among the offerings is the popular Outdoor Combo license, bundling hunting, fishing, and habitat access for $55. Anglers can opt for the three-year Angler’s Special license at $62, while hunters can purchase the three-year Hunter’s Special for $101, featuring hunting and habitat fees. Additional options like the $14 Bonus Line permit allow anglers extra lines beyond the regular two. For a durable hard card with custom art from Iowa artists, license holders can upgrade their paper licenses for just $6. Iowans can conveniently purchase and manage licenses via the GoOutdoorsIowa mobile app for iPhone and Android devices. Licenses are available at 650 statewide locations and online via the DNR website. Department of Natural Resources staff say these licenses make great stocking stuffers for the hunters and anglers in your family.
