After months of discussions, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a long-term human resources (HR) solution for the county at their meeting on Monday. Supervisors have heard from several HR services firms and narrowed it down to two options in recent meetings. However, they still need to determine which company they prefer and if they’d begin at the start of the calendar year or fiscal year. The board will also continue discussions on a countywide safety manual and seatbelt policy for employees at the request of their insurance carrier, the Iowa Municipalities Workers’ Compensation Association (IMWCA). Other items on the agenda are Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 funding requests from the Carroll County Fair Association and Elderbridge Agency on Aging, the FY25 taxable valuation report, manure management annual updates, and committee reports. The Monday, Dec. 11 meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Swan Lake State Park Conservation Education Center. The complete agenda is included below
