New Hope in Carroll recently hosted its annual appreciation event for its many supporters and recognized several groups and individuals who stood out in 2023. New Hope Foundation Director Angie Owen says, “The Annual Appreciation Event is our night to say thank you and to recognize those who help us support our mission throughout the year.” The first recipient was the Renew Church in Carroll. Throughout the year, Renew administrators and the congregation open their doors for bible study with New Hope clients and host dances for them. Phic Lovan with National Seating and Mobility was selected as the second recipient. Lovan has worked with New Hope and its clients for the past 15 years to provide lift systems, mobility equipment, wheelchairs, and more to benefit patients and improve their overall quality of life. The final recipient was Caroline “Carl” Dieter, who was recognized for her connection with clients. Each Friday, many group homes enjoy dinner at Family Table in Carroll. Dieter always welcomes the groups like family by remembering everyone’s names, favorite orders, and more. New Hope staff note clients look forward to their visits to Family Table in large part thanks to Dieter’s welcomeness and overwhelmingly positive attitude. Since 1978, New Hope has provided care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and more throughout west-central Iowa.
