The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County recently presented their 2023 third-quarter donation to public libraries in Bagley, Casey, Menlo, and Jamaica. The libraries were chosen following the organization’s August meeting in Panora, and the 10 Squared Women proudly awarded a combined $13,300 to the smallest libraries in the county. The Bagley facility will use its portion of the funds to update its junior non-fiction and large-print collections and support its after-school snack program. The Jamaica Library plans to build a children’s section at their site, while the Casey and Menlo Libraries have set aside the donation to expand collections and children’s programming. Since its establishment in 2017, the 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County has donated $298,850 to local causes, emphasizing impactful community investment. With a membership of 139 and numerous organizations nominated for funding, the 10 Squared Women group encourages new members to join their philanthropic endeavors.
