The countdown to Christmas is down to the single digits, and the Carroll County EMS Association is inviting the public to celebrate with them tomorrow (Saturday) during a special program out at Swan Lake State Park. Association Treasurer Kristin Nehring says the program begins at the Conservation Education Center at 5 p.m. with some holiday guests.
Nehring adds that the program is a free-will donation, with money raised from the association’s efforts to support EMS training, personnel, and equipment throughout the county.
The weather forecast does show a chance of rain on Saturday, but those chances will have mostly dissipated by the time the show starts at 5 p.m. Even if the weather is not ideal, Nehring says vehicles can still go through the light show during the Christmas Special. The Carroll County EMS Association’s Festival of Lights is open every night through Dec. 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Volunteers will be stationed at the end of the route to collect free-will- donations for the organization. They also accept donations via Venmo @CarrollCountyEMS or by mail to the Carroll County Ambulance Service, 203 E. 3rd St. in Carroll.
