Christmas Bus Vandals Turn Themselves In; Owner Decides To Use The Grinchy Act To Raise Funds For Local Groups

The Carroll Police Department reports they have identified the culprits behind the Carroll Christmas Bus vandalism. According to law enforcement, two juveniles have admitted to the damage done to the bus that was parked in the 200 block of U.S. Highway 71 South late Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning. Damage to the vehicle included smashed windows, slashed tires, broken mirrors, and cut Christmas lights. Brady Brehmer, the bus owner and operator, says they will not be pressing charges against the individuals.  He says there was an outpouring of support from the community, and the bus was up and running again by Thursday evening. Brehmer has decided to turn the Grinchy act into a larger good for the community. He says he plans to donate the money raised from a “Save the Bus” account that a supporter set up for them at Commercial Savings Bank to Carroll County EMS, the New Opportunities Christmas Fund, and the Community of Concern Food Pantry.
