Carroll Woman Sentenced To Combined 20 Days In Jail For July Assault On Peace Officers

A Carroll woman accused of assaulting police officers during an incident in July was ordered to serve 20 days in jail following her guilty plea. According to Carroll County District Court records, 34-year-old Courtney Lynne Loew pled guilty to assault on a peace officer resulting in bodily injury, an aggravated misdemeanor, and assault on a peace officer, a serious misdemeanor. The charges stemmed from a July 29 security check in the 400 block of S. Walnut Street. Authorities say Loew spat in one officer’s face and kicked another in the head. At a hearing earlier this month, Loew was ordered to serve 90 days in the Carroll County jail with all but 10 days suspended for each count and credit for time already served.
