The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County wrapped up their final meeting of 2023 last month with a $14,800 donation to Timber Creek Charities, a non-profit therapy provider. Timber Creek Therapies and Charities, established in 2001, serves individuals needing rehabilitation therapies, especially those facing financial constraints. The therapies, ranging from equine-assisted sessions to speech and cognitive therapies, benefit patients from Guthrie County and 45 other counties in Iowa. The organization’s board of directors has earmarked the funds to be used specifically for clients that reside within Guthrie County. The group’s donation was initially $13,600 but grew to $14,800 with additional donations and employer matches. This contribution marks the largest they have presented to date. The 10 Squared Women of Guthrie County have donated $313,650 since their establishment in 2017, aiming to support local initiatives benefiting Guthrie County residents.
