An Audubon woman claims the top prize for the Iowa Lottery holiday scratch game. Michelle Hansen purchased the two-dollar “Oh Ca$hmas Tree” ticket at the Casey’s located in Audubon. Upon scratching, Hansen discovered she had won the top prize of $10,000. Her ticket was the third of 14 top prizes featured in the scratch ticket, and the overall odds were 1 in 3.46. Hansen claimed her winnings at the Clive lottery headquarters on Wednesday (Dec 27). Make sure to keep all your scratch tickets, though, as nonwinning holiday tickets can be entered until Jan 8, 2024, for the “Million Dollar Holiday” promotion for a chance of up to $5,000 on three different monthly drawings, with one winner of $50,000, two for $100,000 and one grand prize winner of $500,000.
