The Carroll County Christmas Bus has done it again. Brady Brehmer, bus owner and operator, posted on the Facebook page yesterday, giving the totals for the bus’s fundraising efforts from this year. The final number raised for this year’s charities was $12,268, compared to the $5,650 from the previous year. The donated funds are divided among three local organizations, and those groups will receive their respective check this week. The Community of Concern Food Pantry will receive $4,829 to aid in the increase of food prices. New Opportunities Christmas is receiving $1,829 but also received $3,000 from the Carroll Christmas Bus on Dec. 9 for the remaining New Opportunities Christmas tickets that were located at Carroll Brewing Company. The third donation goes to the Carroll County EMS for $2,610. Along with their annual fundraiser from Festival of Lights, the EMS program will use the funds to purchase new equipment for the crew. Brehmer says he continues to be amazed at the community’s efforts for all of this and thanks for all the love, support, and generosity to make it all possible. Brehmer hopes for an even bigger year in 2024 and cannot wait for the season of giving again in 11 months.
