During the meeting on Tuesday (Jan. 2), the Lake View City Council approved the resolution and will start taking bids for the new community center project. City Administrator Theresa Pudenz says the project was brought up in November, but this was an updated plan needing approval before taking bids. Pudenz says the building will be a great addition to the community.
The new community center would be located north of the Cobblestone Inn and Suites and Dockit Bar and Grill on Boulder Drive. Pudenz says work has already started and is now ready for the next step in the process.
Pudenz says the bid opening is scheduled for Jan. 25, and the council will discuss the bids received at the Feb. 5 meeting. Upon the approval of a contracting company, Pudenz says a more defined schedule for the completion of the building will be given.
