Officials Release Limited Information On Thursday Morning Shooting At Perry High School

Authorities released very limited details of a school shooting at the Perry High School in Perry this (Thursday) morning following a brief press conference at 10 a.m. Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante says law enforcement was first notified of the active shooter at 7:37 a.m.

Infante says they are still working to determine an accurate victim count.

Infante says they are fortunate classes were not in session yet for the day when the shooting began.

Infante says authorities have identified the shooter but have not released any other information, such as the suspect’s status, age, or name. Infante adds many students in the district have already been reunited with their parents or guardians.

Law enforcement has confirmed the shooter is dead but is not providing any other information at this time. Another press conference is being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 3:00 p.m.  This is a developing story, and Carroll Broadcasting will bring you more information as it becomes available.
