The Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll County Growth Partnership’s (CCGP) first legislative forum with local legislators is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) morning. District 6 Senator Jason Schultz of Schleswig and District 11 Representative Brian Best of Glidden will speak on happenings at the statehouse in the first few weeks of the session and answer questions from constituents. The program begins promptly at 10 a.m. at the Arcadia Shelter House in Arcadia. Schultz and Best will each take a few minutes for opening statements, followed by questions from the Chamber/CCGP Legislative Committee. Any remaining time will go to questions from the crowd. Three other legislative forums are scheduled within Carroll County. The Saturday, Feb. 24, forum will be at the Des Moines Area Community College Carroll Campus, March 23 will be at New Hope on 18th Street, and April 27 will be in the Glidden Public Library.
