Several people are in custody following a fight Friday night at a Carroll convenience store that left one person with stab wounds. According to Carroll Police Chief Brad Burke, first responders were dispatched to the Casey’s in the 600 block of U.S. Highway 30 West at approximately 7:32 p.m. on a report of a fight in progress. Upon arrival, officers located one person who had been assaulted with a knife and two others with blunt-force injuries. Burke says the eyewitness reports suggest a fight broke out between two to three people. As of Friday evening, one suspect was booked into the Carroll County jail and is being held on out-of-state warrants. According to Burke, two other suspects were transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital for injuries sustained during the fight. The circumstances leading up to the brawl and stabbing are still under investigation. Additional information is expected to be released by law enforcement tomorrow (Saturday). The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Emergency Medical Services, and other agencies assisted at the scene.
