Carroll-Tigers-CCSD

The Carroll Community School District (CCSD) will be discussing more detail for plans on the upcoming school year, Fiscal Year (FY) 25 budget and more during the Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday. During the meeting, a  hearing will be held for the public to provide input on the 2024-25 school calendar, prior to its approval. After the public hearing, the Carroll Education Association (CEA) and the Carroll Education Support Association (CESA) will present initial proposals regarding pay for teachers and support staff employed by the district. There will also be a discussion on the winter testing data from the elementary and middle school students. The board will review this data to see any trends, and to determine the strengths and maybe some challenges faced by the school’s students. Action items on the agenda include the FFA Lease with James Auen, who the district rents ground from for the FFA chapter’s food plot and to approve of the revisions to the Carroll High School Course Handbook for 2024-25. Both of these action items are reviewed annually. The board will then consider the approval of two to three potential quotes for the purchase and installation of classroom door locks for all buildings. Other items to be considered are the approval for a contact turn in bonus for staff who sign and return their contract in by a specific date and to set a public hearing for the proposed property tax levy. Following announcements from the board, the meeting will end with a closed session for a routine superintendent evaluation, where the board will conduct a check-in with Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau. Besides the closed session, the meeting is open to the public and will convene at 6:30 p.m. at Adams Elementary.
