Community members were invited to a special meeting with the Lake City City Council to meet with the Community Building Board to discuss updates and plans to utilize the center better. City Administrator Jacob Matthews says the council did not take nor intended to take any action on deciding what, if anything, would change. The special meeting was to generate more ideas and discuss the memorial building’s potential.
Matthews says a great discussion was had with participants on updates they would like to see. The council will review the proposed changes in upcoming meetings, mainly regarding accessibility.
The council made no official decision, and the proposed updates will be discussed further in upcoming city council meetings.
