Daylight Savings Begins This Sunday, Don’t Forget To Turn Clocks Ahead And Check Other Household Items

Daylight-saving

With this Sunday marking the beginning of daylight savings time, spring is almost here, and the sunrise and sunset will occur an hour later than the standard time, giving the days more light for the evening hours. On Sunday at 2 a.m., the clocks will move forward an hour to coincide with the longer days, and those with clocks not connected to Wi-Fi, this is a reminder that they will need to be updated manually. Cellphone and computer clocks will automatically be updated. While resetting the analog or digital clocks, now would also be the time to check over the household smoke detectors. Test each one to ensure that the detector is properly working and replace old ones or the batteries if needed. It is recommended that smoke detectors be replaced over ten years of age, and that they be kept updated, working ones on every level of the house, especially in and near bedrooms where individuals sleep. Again, this Sunday make sure clocks are moved ahead one hour at 2 a.m. for the beginning of daylight savings time.
