Glidden City Park will be getting a much-needed update, which hasn’t been done in years. City Administrator Brooke Peterson says certain sections of the park are currently off-limits to residents but promises nothing but good things are coming.

Peterson says some of the structures being replaced have been played on in the park since current adults in the community were children. Peterson says some old play equipment created potential safety hazards, and the city needed to update to more modern materials.

The new equipment is scheduled to be installed next week and fully ready to be used when the weather warms up this spring.
