The Chuckwagon Restaurant in Adair, Iowa, has been selected by votes to be in the top 10 finalists for the 15th annual Iowa’s Best Burger contest. The Iowa Beef Industry Council and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association accepted a record-breaking number of nominations this year, with more than 7,500 individuals voting for more than 500 restaurants around Iowa. The Adair restaurant was previously selected as the Best Burger winner in 2016 but is taking another look at the award-winning title. The Chuckwagon will be visited by an anonymous panel of judges who will critique the 100% natural beef patty on taste and appearance and ensure the burger is cooked to 160 degrees Fahrenheit. The winner of the contest will be announced on May 1. A complete list of the top ten finalists has been included below.
