Dan Stoolman, 68 of Carroll, died Sunday, March 24, 2024 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Holy Spirit Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Merlin Schrad. Con-Celebrant and homilist will be Fr. Craig Collison. Music will be by Kathy Halbur and Sherry Loughran. Mass Server will be Claire Venner. Lector for the Funeral Mass will be Dr. Sharon Stoolman Olden. Gift Bearers will be Ashley Behrens and Jessica Pudenz. Eucharistic Minister will be Angie Tigges. Casket Bearers will be Chuck Stoolman, Andy Stoolman, Jackson Stoolman, Trey Olden, Wayne Tigges, Keith Venner, Corey Venner, Larry Rock, and Larry Snyder. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the church, prior to the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left at the church for a later designation.

Born on November 20, 1955, Daniel Stoolman was the son of Donald and Agnes (Neppel) Stoolman. He attended Holy Family School in Lidderdale, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School and later graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School. Dan was united in marriage to Sheryl Venner on August 14, 1976 at St. Francis Church in Maple River. The couple resided in several communities before settling in Carroll in 1984. To this union were three children, Rachel, Chuck, and Andy.
For most of his working career, Dan was employed with Feld Fire Equipment in Carroll. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his children’s activities. Dan was an avid collector of many things; loved telling a good story and thoroughly enjoyed his time at Lake View.
Dan is survived by his children: Rachel Stoolman of Florida, Chuck (Tanya) Stoolman of Adel, and Andy Stoolman of Minnesota; his grandchildren: Jackson, Addison, and Lily Kruse; his sister, Norene Stoolman of Nebraska; his parents-in-law, Cyril and Anita Venner of Arcadia; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Donna (Jim) Friel, Ken (Carol) Venner, Marlene (Gary) Wittrock, Jolene (Steve) Eischeid, Dennis (Kathy) Venner, Angie (Wayne) Tigges, Marcia Schlichte, and Kevin (Jill) Venner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sheryl; his granddaughter, Casey; his sister, Donna (Pat) Rock; his brother, Dave (Sue) Stoolman; and nephew, Matt Stoolman.
