Barrel Smoke BBQ & Catering out of Templeton was announced being in the top two for the Iowa Pork Producers Association Pulled Pork Madness challenge. Starting at the beginning of this month, 16 restaurants throughout the state were selected to participate in this bracket challenge, with Iowa residents voting to see their favorite restaurant win. Barrel Smoke BBQ was voted into this championship round, beating out Junction Café in Bedford, Bett & Bev’s BBQ in Jefferson, and Smoke N Firehouse No. 20 in Ringsted. The Templeton business is up against is Skinny’s BBQ out of Muscatine, a town with around 25,000 people. Eric White, owner and operator of the BBQ restaurant and catering service is asking for everyone’s help, to vote for the business to allow him to represent western Iowa.
