Auburn Public Library And Auburn Historical Museum Teaming Up For Both Organizations’ Biggest Fundraiser Of The Year

The Auburn Public Library and the Auburn Historical Museum are teaming up again for the tenth annual raffle fundraiser, to help support both organization’s operating costs and special programs funded by them. Donetta Stewart, Librarian at the Auburn Public Library, says this fundraiser grew from just a few baskets raising around $500-600, to many donations of raffle items, which raises over $17,000 for both organizations to split. Not only does the proceeds of this fundraiser cover 20 percent of the operational costs of the library, but also helps to fund yearly programs.

Jane Barto, representative for the Auburn Historical Museum says the money from this fundraiser allows the museum to continue supporting other events and projects around the community.

Tickets are available at the library for cash or check only. Stewart says interested individuals can call the library to purchase raffle tickets and mail a check to the library, perfect for out-of-town individuals who want to participate. Individuals will purchase tickets based on what item they would wish to win, and ticket prices options are $2, $5, $10, $20 based on the item. Barto says there is a ton of wonderful prizes available to win.

Limestone truckload was donated by Vonahame Construction and the concrete pour from Mohr Concrete. Stewart says she cannot thank the generosity of the businesses and community members enough for their continuous support.

Raffle drawing will take place on April 20, at 1:00 p.m, so Stewart and Barto encourage to purchase tickets before the deadline of 12:59 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
