Applications Now Open For District 4 Congressional Art Competition

U.S.-Capitol-Building

U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra invites high school students in Iowa’s 4th Congressional District to submit their work for consideration in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. This nationwide initiative, led by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, aims to foster artistic expression among students. The winner of the competition will earn the privilege of attending a congressional reception in Washington, D.C., celebrating artwork from across the nation, with their piece displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year. Additionally, three runners-up will see their artwork exhibited in Feenstra’s district offices. Feenstra encourages aspiring student artists to embrace this chance to showcase their talents. Artwork will be evaluated based on originality, concept, technique, creativity, and representation of Iowa’s 4th Congressional District. Submissions can be sent via mail or email, with a deadline of April 28. Winners will be announced on May 8. More information on how to submit pieces to the competition is included below.
