The Animal Rescue of Carroll (ARC) will be having a busy week, preparing for two fundraising events to help support the animals and daily expenses of the shelter. The first event is the ARC Garage Sale fundraising, which will occur this Friday and Saturday. Volunteer Karen Schouten says the shelter is thankful for the many donations of items available for purchase as a free-will offer.
The ARC Garage Sale will be on Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Schouten says the rescue will be accepting donations until Friday morning if people are still interested in donating. Schouten encourages all who can to come to the shelter, as 100 percent of the money raised stays at the ARC.
Another fundraiser event will follow on Monday, April 22, with another drive-thru dinner. Schouten says the last one was a success, as they ran out of food within 40 minutes, so she encourages people to get in line early.
Again, ARC is hosting two fundraisers, with all proceeds benefiting the animals and ensuring the rescue can continue to provide the services it offers. The ARC Garage Sale will be on Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the shelter. The 28th drive-thru dinner will be the following Monday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. or until food runs out, whichever comes first, at the St. John Evangelical Church in Carroll.
